Groove Juice Swing: Swing Dancing in Rochester, NY

COVID Safety Policy

As we prepare to welcome you back to Groove Juice Swing, the safety and well-being of our community is our top priority.  Masks are recommended for everyone while inside the building. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home.

Our commitment to maintaining a safe space includes welcoming your communication. If you have any questions or concerns you would like to discuss you may reach out to a Groove Juice Swing staff person at any in-person event or email us at safety@groovejuiceswing.com.

COVID Safety Protocols/What to Expect

Masks

We recommend you wear mask while in the building. Masks should completely cover your mouth, nose, and chin with a snug fit. Masks with gaps, vents, or a loose fit (e.g., bandanas or gaiters) are generally not effective. We will have a limited number of masks available at the door.

Vaccination

We recommend vaccines to all attendees. While we will not be checking vaccine cards to attend our events, we strongly support vaccination for our attendees against flu and COVID for personal protection and the protection of those members of our community who are unable to get a vaccine.

Health Check

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. Upon arrival at Groove Juice Swing, you may be asked to review a list of COVID-19 symptoms and affirm that you are feeling well. The list below reflects the current list, but the list may change to reflect updates from the CDC and health department. If staying home means you will miss a class session, we will work with you to defer your enrollment to a future class or arrange a digital make-up session; reach out to us at safety@groovejuiceswing.com to make arrangements.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please stay home:

  • Fever or feeling feverish?
  • Sore throat?
  • New cough (not related to chronic condition)?
  • New nasal congestion or new runny nose (not related to seasonal allergies)?
  • Muscle aches?
  • New loss of smell or taste?
  • Shortness of breath?

If you have had contact in the last 2 weeks with anyone who has suspected or known positive COVID-19, please reach out to us at safety@groovejuiceswing.com so we can help you plan a safe return.

What We're Doing

We are keeping track of trends in the rates of community transmission and vaccination as well as state, local, and CDC guidelines to inform - and update - this policy.
